A forum of United Civil Society Organisations in Bauchi State has urged the Federal Government not to tolerate any form of foreign interference in the country, as witnessed in the just concluded EndBadGovernance protest across the northern part of the country.
It says it poses the greatest threat to the national security of the country.
The group said this while briefing journalists in Bauchi State, saying the sovereignty of Nigeria as a country is a substantive term and a designating supreme authority over the polity.

The involvement of some groups of protesters flying Russian flags in Northern Nigeria on day five of the EndBadGovernance protest, has continued to generate concerns from Nigerians, including some group of civil society.
The group advocates for a strong and unified response to protect Nigeria’s sovereignty, and uphold the integrity of its democratic process, in addressing the foreign influences.
The group wants security operatives to continue to maintain law and order, in line with the necessary conventions on human rights, to which Nigeria is a signatory.
