President Bola Tinubu will address the nation in a radio and television broadcast on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am.
Television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are therefore enjoined to plug into the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN for the broadcast.
A statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale says the broadcast will be repeated on the network services of the NTA and the FRCN at 3:00pm and 7:00pm on the same day.
This address comes after nationwide protests erupted, demanding an end to bad governance. The protesters have specifically called on President Tinubu to address the nation and respond to their demands.
The President’s broadcast is highly anticipated, as Nigerians eagerly await his response to the pressing issues facing the country.
