Protesters took to the streets in the sabon gari area of Zaria, in kaduna State, on Monday, August 5.
Despite appeals from President Bola Tinubu for calm during his broadcast on Sunday, the protesters attempted to break into a warehouse for fertiliser in the premises of the sabon gari local government area.
It took the combined effort of the military and other security agents to dispel the raging, obviously young protesters.

Unconfirmed reports say the development has forced the imposition of a curfew on the local government area by authorities.
