Hundreds of thugs barricaded the popular Spare Parts market in Apo, Abuja, on Monday; paralysing commercial activities and vehicular movement.
At least 13 vehicles on display at a nearby car stand were set ablaze in the violent protest.
This was as residents and traders in the areas scamper for safety.
A joint security force arrived an hour later to put the situation under control.
Eyewitnesses told AIT that over 30 persons were injured in the violent clash; forcing traders to shutdown businesses.
