The Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, and the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan have met with the Northern Governors’ Forum and the Northern council of Chiefs, over the issues arising from the ENDSARS agitation and the general insecurity bedeviling the northern region.
The meeting in Kaduna, also had the Inspector General Of Police and the Minister of Information Lai Muhammed in attendance.
The 2nd extraordinary meeting in one month, also raised concern on the need to safeguard the Federal Capital Territory, against any attack.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed said the government will continue to do its best to protect lives and property of the citizens.

They say that the recent event in the country, was an eye-opener and a wake up call for government to do more.
The meeting also resolved to form a committee that will look into the role of the traditional rulers, with the Emir of Lafiya as Chairman.
There is also a Committee on Youths and Civil Societies, with the Emir of Zazzau as Chairman.
They are to interface with the two bodies to foster development of the region and the country in general.
