After Wednesday’s attack and burning of two police stations and party Secretariat of both the APC and PDP in Akure, Ondo State capital by hoodlums, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of zone 17, Oyebanji Folawiyo, has advised the people to embrace peace and dialogue in pressing home their demands.
The AIG, who is in charge of Ondo and Ekiti, visited some of the police facilities that were razed by hoodlums on Wednesday night and said the burning of the property will not bring the desired change the people are yearning for.
Folawiyo said the police will always ensure safety of lives and property of citizens of the two states under his supervision.

Meanwhile, a drive around some major streets in the state capital on Thursday morning, shows that normalcy seems to be gradually returning to major parts of Ondo State.
