Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has issued a strong warning to those disrupting water infrastructure development in the State.
He wants a renewed commitment of community leaders in protecting the ongoing efforts to enhance water accessibility a cross Enugu State.
Governor Mbah addressed the issue during an on-the-spot assessment of the citywide pipe replacement project, aimed at improving water distribution in the metropolis.
The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, expressed concern about incidents of pipeline vandalism and tampering with water collection points.

He noted that despite the State government’s commitment to improving water supply, these acts of sabotage are hindering progress of work.
Governor Mbah emphasized the urgency of achieving the goal of providing water to Enugu homes, having met the 180-days timeline for bringing water into the state capital city.
