A new Chief Judge for Enugu State, South East Nigeria, has been sworn in by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at the Government House, Enugu.
He is Justice Afojuru Ozoemena, who is to hold the office in acting capacity.

Justice Ozoemena replaces Justice Ngozi Emehelum who retired from service.
At the event, Governor Ugwuanyi called on the judiciary to continue to support the executive to promote and strengthen democracy in the country.
The new acting Chief Judge, Justice Ozoemena assures of the existing cordial relationship between the judiciary and the executive arm of government in the State.
The new Chief Judge, promised to display his wealth of experience in the judiciary in the discharge of his duty.
A valedictory court session had earlier been held at the State High Court in honour of the retired Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Ngozi Emehelum.
