Muslim faithful in Enugu State on Friday joined millions across the world in marking this year’s Eid-el-Kabir; a festival steeped in reflections of peace, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to Almighty Allah
By 9 o’clock in the morning, large crowds of worshippers from all 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu State had converged on the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in the Enugu capital city, to observe the special Eid prayers.

After the stadium prayers, attention shifted to the Central Mosque on Owerri Road, where Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, joined the Muslim community in the celebration.
The Governor described the Muslim community in Enugu as key partners in progress and commended their contributions to peace and development in the state.
