The administration of Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, South-East Nigeria has worked out a joint capital projects funding pattern with the 17 Local Government Areas.
Addressing newsmen at the end of the State Planning Committee meeting at the Government House, Enugu, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia says the whole idea is to enhance development activities in the rural areas, and create jobs, among others.

Under the arrangement, Local Government Councils are expected to provide 300,000 hectares of farm lands for projects in line with the economic agenda of the State Government.
