The Local Government elections in Enugu State, South-East Nigeria witness low turnout of voters, in some of the areas visited in Enugu-East Council Area of the State.
However, there was remarkable improvement in early arrival of electoral materials to the polling centres visited.
House of Representatives member, representing Enugu East/Isi-uzo Federal Constituency, Cornelius Nnaji who cast his ballot at the Umunwene Ward, Polling Unit 004 in Enugu-East Local Government Area describes the exercise as peaceful.
Others interviewed at different polling centres speak on the conduct of the election.
The exercise is holding in the 17 Local Government Areas and 260 council wards of the State.
