Environmental Hygiene: Bauchi agency urges Govt to improve on peoples’ wellbeing

Government at all levels have been called upon to prioritize the issue of environmental hygiene so as to improve the quality and wellbeing of the people

This call was made by the Registrar and CEO Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria Dr. Yakubu Mohammed while inaugurating a mobile court for Bauchi State environmental Protection Agency.

It is often said that cleanliness is next to godliness.
Against this backdrop, the Registrar and chief executive officer of environmental council of Nigeria Dr Yakubu Mohammed enjoined the Governments and relevant stakeholders to invest more towards addressing environmental degradation considering its negative effects.

Bauchi state commissioner for environment and housing Hamisu Shira Appreciated the state government for all the necessary support in ensuring that the State becomes one of the cleanest in Nigeria.This he said paved the way for the seven hundred million dollars world Bank intervention, and assured the body of judicious use of the funds

On his part the Director General Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency BASEPA Dr Kabir Ibrahim urged the people to cooperate with the agency in its quest to improve their living condition
