Environmental rights activists have advocated the need for leaders in Africa especially Nigeria to stop the use of fossil fuel so that the world can be a safe haven.
They said exploitation without responsibility on the part of government at all levels leaves much to be desired, hence the need to let the crude oil in it’s natural state.

This was made known to journalists in portharcourt the rivers state capital.
The oil exploration and exploitation by multinational oil companies have had negative affect on the People of the host communities and the environment.
Environmental Rights activists from far and near, are in portharcourt to share ideas on how to shift from dirty energy to cleaner energy .
The environmental rights activists while proffering solutions on how to achieve cleaner energy, want world leaders to stop the use of fossil fuel.
The Paris agreement that would have solved some of the Environmental problems stakeholders say, will not make any difference describing it as a failure .
The stakeholders are unanimous that the only way to address or mitigate the impact of environmental pollution, is to leave the oil in it’s natural state and as well as desist from acts capable of aggravating the already polluted environment.
