The Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar has charged Islamic scholars to preach the message of unity, peace, love and tolerance, throughout the Ramadan fasting period in the emirate.
Abubakar made the charge during a meeting with Islamic scholars at his palace in Bida, Niger State, North-Central Nigeria.

The royal father maintained that muslims globally should intensify various acts of worship as part of efforts to attain religious upliftment.
He advised muslims to abide by the teachings of Islam as enshrined in the Qur’an and Hadiths.
He called on wealthy individuals to assist the less privileged throughout Ramadan and beyond.
He enjoined Muslims to take advantage of the Ramadan fast to pray for the continuous peaceful coexistence among Nigerians irrespective of differences, as well as the progress and development of the country.
