The European Union EU has expressed readiness to collaborate with Nigeria in advancing the establishment of a national research and development fund and harmonising of Science and innovation Policies.
Speaking at the Nigeria- EU Science and Innovation day in Lagos, the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Gautier Mignot, said stronger scientific ecosystems thrive through Collaboration, Trust, Openness and sustained investment rather than isolation.
With the theme “Making Science together”, the Nigeria European Union science and innovation day brought together Researchers, Innovators and Policy Makers to explore Practical ways for both regions to build a functional and sustainable science ecosystem.
The Collaboration is expected to translate to alot of gains for Nigeria health and education sectors
