Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, has assured Nigerians that his leadership will ensure reinvented armed forces that is battle ready and prepared to make sacrifices for the defence and safety of the country.
General Musa gave the assurance at the national symposium and lecture series to mark the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day in Abuja.
Former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai (Rtd), in his lecture advocated for compulsory military training for Nigerian youths to boost courage and strength as well as the need for the Armed Forces to move away from just defending the country to human capital development and national integration.
