Former deputy governor of Delta state, Professor Amos Utuama is dead.
The former deputy governor who hailed from Ughievwen in Ughelli South local government area of Delta state, was said to have passed on at the age of 77 in the early hours of Saturday in Lagos following a protracted illness.
Political associates of the late Senior Advocate of Nigeria confirmed his death to journalists in Warri, Delta State.

Utuama served as deputy governor to former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan between 2007 and 2015 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He was also the commissioner for justice and attorney general of Delta state under the administration of former governor James Ibori.
