The former Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi has met with the head of the military Junta in Niger Republic which ousted President Mohamad Bazoum.
The former Emir can be seen in a video alongside Major General Tchiani the leader of the junta,.
In the footage, Sanusi is also seen in company of the Emir of Damagaran, the traditional ruler of the third largest city in Niger.
This comes as delegations sent by ECOWAS, one of which included the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad ABUBAKAR, last week attempted to meet with the junta but without any success.
Sources say Sanusi went there to open the door for negotiation with the junta, even as ECOWAS holds a second meeting on the situation in Niger.
