Andy Burnham has been elected as leader of the ruling labour party, and is now poised to replace Keir Starmer as the new Prime Minister.
The former Mayor of greater Manchester, Burham has said he is more than ready to lead the United Kingdom. He is now third time lucky in his desire to be leader of the Labour Party.
He ran for Labour’s leadership in 2010, coming in fourth, and again in 2015, doing better, coming second in that loss to Jeremy Corbyn.
Fast forward 11 years later, the 56-year-old is unopposed and gets the Labour Party leadership, which takes him straight to the top job of the prime ministership of the United Kingdom.
But that will be till Monday when he takes over as the country’s leader, and outlines what his team of ministers will look like, and more importantly, his policies and how he will implement them for the British people.

At an event in Central London held to affirm his selection by the Labour Party, Burnham who said he joined the party in his mid teens, said he is rearing to go.
He has still not been sparing of what he called an unusual situation during the two years of Keir Starmer’s premiership.
