Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Olumide Akpata has secured the Edo State Labour Party Governorship ticket.
Akpata was declared winner of the party primaries in Benin City ahead of the September 21 Governorship election to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Going by INEC timetable, all the 16 political parties that indicated interest in the Governorship election must hold their primaries and nominate a candidate on or before Saturday, February 24.
