The immediate past General Secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Peter Ozo-Eson has dragged the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate, PTAD to the Public Complaints Commission, for refusal to pay his pensions.
The former NLC Chief Economist and 21-year-long lecturer with the University of Jos, accused PTAD of doubting his 1982 employment letter from the university, as well as dehumanising him for asking to be paid.
Although PTAD officials claim payment will be processed soon, Ozo-Eson insists he will pursue the matter to any length.
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Pensioners, Sunday Omezi, is faulting PTAD for the non-release of entitlements
through first-line charge, as contained in the constitution, instead of using the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, which has since refused to pay.
In a swift reaction, the spokesman of NUP, Bunmi Ogunkolade, said Sunday Omezi is an impostor, whose tenure expired on July 18, 2022.
