The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, says existing and emerging security threats across Nigeria require pro-active measures to effectively tackle the challenge.

The Army Chief was speaking during the graduation ceremony of some personnel who participated in the indigenous language proficiency course six, which was aimed at equipping officers with more than one language.
