Editors across Nigeria, representing the broadcast, print, and online media, converged on Owerri, the Imo State capital, for a 2-day National Biennial Convention, to elect officers who will run the affairs of the prestigious editor’s group for the next two years.
The newly elected president, Eze Anaba, and the standing committee for the North, Paulyn Ugbodaga, who emerged unopposed, speak on their agenda for the editors and Nigeria in general.
Earlier, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, while declaring the event open, appealed to the Nigerian Guild of Editors to support Tinubu’s government to succeed, noting that members of the media are part of the political process.
After the convention, the editors gathered at a banquet hosted by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and used the opportunity to present him with the award of Editor-Friendly Governor.
