Pictures have emerged of Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s Football Team, the Falconets sleeping in the lobby of the Istanbul airport in Turkey.
The team appears to have been stranded.

The Falconets who were eliminated in the quarter-final of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica, have been in transit since Monday, and are now in Istanbul where they are to wait for 24 hours for a flight to Abuja.
The contingent comprising players, coaches, medical and other backroom staff are all affected.
Efforts to reach the Federation have not yielded any response.
The Falconets had put up impressive performances before crashing out of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup at the quarter-final stage, after a two-nil defeat to the Netherlands, who now face Spain in the semi-final.

The tournament trophy has remained elusive to Nigeria.
