The family of late Favour Okechechukwu, the 12 yr old girl that was raped and found dead in the Ejigbo area of Lagos has called on authorities to ensure justice is served on the perpetrators of the evil act.
Mother of late Favour, Ruth Okechechukwu told AIT that she sent her daughter on an errand after she returned from school around 3 pm last Wednesday but the teenager never returned alive.
Her lifeless body was found naked in a building in Olanrewaju Street in Ejigbo; a few distance from her home in a pool of blood; allegedly raped.
Late Favour Okechukwu was the first daughter of her parents and a Junior Secondary School student.
The distraught mother of the 12-year-old girl appealed to the Police and other relevant authorities to find the killers of her daughter and ensure the perpetrators face the full wrath of the law.
Residents are in shock over the incident; worried that the killers are still somewhere in their midst.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Police, Hakeem Odumosu has however confirmed the arrest of some suspects who he said will be charged to court.
The rape and death of 12yr old Favour Okechechukwu comes at a time when the rape of minors in on the increase in Nigeria.
