Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, says Nigeria is not a country divided by religion, where a few political actors weaponise faith for selfish interests.
He made the remarks at the 2025 Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Kafanchan.
The Synod, themed “Great Is Your Faithfulness,” brought together clergy, government officials and the faithful for spiritual renewal, reflection, and a sober assessment of Nigeria’s national progress.
Guest Speaker, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, maintained that despite insecurity, political strain and economic setbacks, Nigeria continues to prevail through God’s guidance, even when global allies show reluctance to assist.
He commended Governor Uba Sani for strengthening peaceful coexistence in Kaduna State, noting that Nigerians can and do live harmoniously, regardless of tribe or belief.
He stressed that any religious divide being promoted is artificial, and driven by those who profit from chaos.
The Synod ended with a united call on Nigerians to reject divisive narratives and uphold a shared national identity that keeps the country strong and together.
