FCT Minister appoints Mandate Secretaries, Heads of Agencies, others

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mandate Secretaries, Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Heads of Agencies and personal Aides into relevant positions in the Federal Capital Territory Administration.

The appointments was based on the recommendation of the FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello, in keeping with his commitment to reposition the FCTA into a more robust and service-oriented administrative structure and enhancing its operational capability.

Those appointed into key positions include Ibrahim Dantsoho, Secretary, Area Council Services Secretariat, Sani El-Katazu, is to take charge as the Secretary of Education While Dr. Abubakar Tafida takes over as the Secretary, Health & Human Services Secretariat.

Others are Zakari Dobi who is the Secretary, Transportation Secretariat, Hadiza kabir and Shehu Hadi Ahmed who is the Executive Secretary, FCDA.

Those appointed as aides to the FCT Minister include Bashir Mai-Bornu who is the Minister’s Chief of Staff, Abubakar Sani returns as the Senior Special Assistant Media, while Ikharo Attah was appointed the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement.

The FCT administration explained that arrangements for the swearing-in of the appointees will be announced in due course.
