FCT Minister commends US-based physician for opening arthritis centre in Abuja.

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has commended U.S.-trained physician, Doctor Helen Mbakwe, for returning to Nigeria to establish the country’s first-ever outpatient infusion and arthritis management facility.

The Minister’s commendation was given during the commissioning of the facility, located in Abuja, by
Doctor Adedolapo Fasawe, who represented the Minister at the event, described the development as a significant milestone in Nigeria’s medical landscape.

Dr. Mbakwe emphasized the transformative power of infusion therapy in managing arthritis, particularly rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

The Frontline Infusion and Arthritis Outpatient Infusion Medical Facility offers cutting-edge infusion therapies, non-surgical treatments, and personalized management plans for arthritis and other chronic autoimmune conditions.

The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Abubakar Kana, described the centre as a timely intervention in reversing the tide of medical brain drain in Nigeria.
