Land allottees who have fulfilled the statutory obligation of paying their Certificate of Occupancy bills to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Administration can now collect their documents within two weeks.

This development follows the signing of 5,481 Certificates of Occupancy by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

According to the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the ongoing land administration reforms in the FCT have streamlined the process. Land allottees can now access information on C-of-O collection and details of the receiver within 72 hours, a process that previously took months.

Olayinka noted that between May 2023 and December 2024, the FCT Minister signed 5,481 certificates, which are only 2,919 less than the total number of certificates printed and signed by the FCT Administration between 2010 and 2023.
