The FCT Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of an auto Electrician, Chukwu Chukwudi, at Kugbo Spare Parts Market, Abuja.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the incident occurred on June 20, 2024, following an argument between the victim and four others, including one Tijani Uzairu, who had brought a vehicle for repairs.
Preliminary investigation revealed that one of the suspects stabbed Chukwu Chukwudi on the neck with a dagger, resulting in his death.
The Police Commissioner, CP Benneth Igweh, has ordered a discreet investigation into the matter and advised the public to shun all acts of violence, noting that the consequences are often dire and regrettable.
Normalcy has been restored in the area and the police are working to apprehend the remaining suspects.
