The FCT Commissioner of police, Garba Haruna, says there is no conflicting reports on the issues surrounding the rescue of Naheeba Al-Kadriyar’s family and other victims from their kidnappers.

The Commissioner who said this during the parade of some kidnappers at the Command Headquarters in Garki, explained that he was not aware of any ransom paid for the release of the victims.

The FCT police Commissioner said he was shocked that members of the public are more concerned about which security agency facilitated the rescue of Late Naheeba Al-Kadriyar’s family and other victims.

The FCT police Commissioner explained that modern day security was a collaborative effort anywhere in the world and therefore appealed to Nigerians to align with current global standards and methods of policing the society.

The Commissioner also said some suspected kidnappers have been arrested within the Federal Capital Territory through intelligence gathering and sharing.

One of the suspects, Chinasa Philips who was paraded for kidnapping offence spoke on his role in the crime.

Items recovered from the suspects include three locally fabricated pistols, a pump action gun and a Toyota Corolla car.
