Police in the the Federal Capital Territory say there are no kidnappers’ dens in any of the forests in the city center.
In a statement released on Thursday, the FCT Police Command said it has commenced its new operational strategy for voracious Intelligence gathering and Intelligence-led raids among other security measures to address the rising insecurity in the Nigerian capital.
The command was reacting to a video circulating on the social media that kidnappers’ hideouts were discovered at some spots within the city center.

The statement further said the FCT Police carried out raids on untended bushes and abandoned structures within the city center and suburbs which were witnessed by members of the public.
FCT residents were urged to be law abiding and well informed and exercise calm as the police continues to do its best to maintain security, law and order.
