The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for staff of the administration, effective immediately.

This move aims to improve the welfare of workers and demonstrate the government’s commitment to the administration’s workforce.

According to Anthony Odey, Press Secretary to the Head of Service, Federal Capital Territory Administration, the approval is a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life for FCT staff.

Grace Adayilo, Acting Head of Civil Service of FCT, noted that the new take-home pay will motivate staff to work harder and deliver quality services to Nigerians in the federal capital territory, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Since President Tinubu’s administration took office, the Federal Capital Territory Administration has undergone significant bureaucratic reforms.
