The Nigerian government has assured of completing the Kaduna-Kano sections of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano dual carriageway before May 29 2023.
Director of highways, construction and rehabilitation in the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing Folorunsho Esan gave the assurance during the inspection of ongoing works on the construction of bridges on the highways.

Esan also said that the contractors have been directed to remove all barricades on the highway to ease traffic during this festive season.
The contractor handling the project also assured of a commitment to complete work at the stipulated time.
Ongoing work on the 375 Abuja-Kaduna-Kano dual carriageway began in 2018. It is now on hold until January 2023 due to the festive holidays.
