The Federal Ministry of Education has begun series of monitoring of its educational institutions in Gombe State, assessing quality assurance of its infrastructure, teaching and learning, leadership and management of these institutions.
According to officials of the Universal Basic Education, the evaluation which is divided between into the first and second terms of the educational year is basically to improve and ensure that the standard of education in the country is sustained.
The officials randomly selected six primary schools from each Local Government of the State for the inspection exercise.
According to information released to journalists, the inspection will by the end of every term take up about 18 schools schools per Local Government Area.
The evaluation team assured that their report would ensure schools affected would get the attention needed to keep up to par with other institutions on the set standards in order to give equal opportunities to the children in getting the required basic education
