Nigeria’s Federal Executive Council has approved the National Economic Development Plan, (NDP) 2021-2025.
Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed who briefed state house correspondents at the end of Wednesday’s cabinet meeting chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said the plan will replace the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, ERGP, which elapses in December 2021.
The Minister described the NDP as being built around six pillars, which include economic growth and development, infrastructure, public administration, human capital development, as well as social and regional development.

She also said the plan is underpinned by a macroeconomic framework that projects an average GDP growth of 5% over and an investment size of over N348 trillion over the 5-year plan period.
