The Federal Government has reopened the Eko Bridge, which had been under repairs and closed to traffic for the past 10 weeks.
The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukayode Popoola, told journalists in Lagos, that the 10-week rehabilitation works on Eko Bridge were completed on schedule.
Popoola said that additional works expected to be carried out on the Bridge, would not require closure, applauding the motoring public for their cooperation, while the rehabilitation lasted.
The Works Comptroller, however, said that the federal ministry of work will from Friday night start repair works on the burnt Lagos Airport flyover in Ikeja.

The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Babangida Hussaini, added that the Federal Ministry of Works’ Central Workshop in Ijora, Lagos, will also be revamped for mass job creation and training of artisans.
Towards this end, the Perm Sec said that the Ministry would soon submit its recommendations for consideration by the Federal Executive Council.
