Federal University of Technology Minna, honours 504 students for academic excellence

Two Students with Cumulative Grade Points Average of five point zero are among four hundred and ninety four first class undergraduates who were presented with certificates of academic performance by the Management of Federal University of Technology Minna.

Ten other students who represented the University, Nigeria and Africa at different international academic and sports encounters were also honoured in a ceremony held at the University Permanent Site, Gidan Kwano, Minna, Niger State.

It was a fulfilling moment for the Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdullahi Bala as some of the students of the University won gold, silver and bronze medals at different events in and outside Nigeria.

Professor Abdullahi Bala assured the students of continuous support from the management of the institution to unleash their potentials in their respective fields of studies.

Two of the Students in year two of Mechatronic Engineering Okoh Patrick and Richman Oluwadamilola of Electrical Engineering have gathered the highest Cumulative Grade Average of five point zero.

One of the final year Student Hauwa Umar also shared her experience of how she maintained her first class position for five years.

The five hundred and four students were honoured for their performance in twenty-nineteen, twenty-twenty academic session.

The ceremony was initiated by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdullahi Bala in two thousand and nineteen as part of efforts to encourage the students to focus on their academic activities to excel.
