The minister of Agriculture and rural development, Sabo Nanono has said that Nigeria’s food systems architecture is weak and vulnerable to shocks.
The minister who was speaking at the feed Nigeria summit in Abuja pledged that Government will continue to implement new strategies to aid the development of the agricultural sector and strengthen the value chains to avert food crisis.

To reposition the country’s agricultural sector as the key driver for economic growth and diversification, stakeholders in the Agriculture sector met at the feed Nigeria summit.
Addressing the audience, the minister of Agriculture and rural development, Sabo Nanono pledged government’s commitment towards supporting key value chain activities such as input distribution, farm production, processing, distribution and marketing by providing better coordination and infrastructural support.
The Feed Nigeria Summit has been a cardinal platform for stakeholders engagement, and targeted to accelerating the country’s progress towards increased agricultural production, supply and access.
The theme of 2021 Feed The Nation summit, is POST-COVID19: A Repaired Food System, Pathway to a Revived Economy.
