Following the Incessant Road accidents caused by the deplorable state of some federal roads within Port-Harcourt and environs, the Federal Road Maintenance Agency FERMA has begun the rehabilitation of the unnotorable roads.
When AIT crew spoke to the officials on site they said their attention was drawn to the negative effects of the bad spots on the roads on commuters and motorists
Residents of Port Harcourt are already looking foward to an improved road transport system With the presence of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency now being felt on Nigerian roads particularly in Rivers State.

The federal roads engineer in Rivers state Adogha Asikigha while speaking on the cause of a fatal accident that occurred along the Obiri-Ikwerre axis charged motorists to be more cautious while on the highway.
The areas where the agency covered were mainly the Imo border communities of Elele,Omagwa, and portharcourt airport roads.
FERMA, a Federal Government Agency established in the year 2002 by an act of legislation during the former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s regime is saddled with the responsibility of maintaining federal roads across the 36 states of the federaation.
