FG assures of safe return of abducted Jangebe school girls

The Federal Government has assured of the safe return of the over 300 students who were abducted at Government Science Secondary School, Jangebe last Friday.

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika who led the high-powered Federal Government delegation to Zamfara State said this when they went to sympathise with the government and people of the State over the abduction of the schoolgirls at Jangebe community, in Talata Marafa Local Government Area.

The Minister said that President Muhammadu Buhari is deeply saddened over the abduction of the 317 school girls. He said the President is committed to ensure the safe rescue of the school girls and the restoration of peace in the country.

President Buhari said his administration has the powers and resources to deal with the security challenges, and it will not fail to do so to secure the citizens.

Zamfara Governor, Bello Mohammed appealed to the President to mobilize more security operatives to the State, to help in the ongoing war against banditry, and to defeat the criminals.

He emphasised the need for synergy among the security agencies, which is one of the ways he believed can help to eliminate the insecurity challenge in the country.

Governor Mohammed expressed optimism that the abducted school girls will be rescued in no time.

The Federal Government delegation also took time out to pray for the safe rescue and return of the over 300 school girls abducted by bandits.
