The Nigerian Government has assured investors of deliberate investment incentives, such as tax holidays, exemptions, and reliefs to support private sector participation in Nigeria’s Agricultural Sector.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Yakubu Ahmed, got the assurance when he paid a courtesy visit to the Headquarters of Hassad Food, in Doha.
A statement by the Spokesperson of the Embassy of Nigeria in Doha, Kimiebi Ebienfa, revealed that the Ambassador who was at the facility to discuss ways of collaboration between the Company and the agro-based agencies in Nigeria pointed out that Nigeria is rich in agriculture and ready for investments in the food chain, to ensure maximum utilisation of its potentials.
The Envoy, also canvassed Nigeria’s interest to promote private sector participation in mechanized crop production.

The Vice President of the Group, Ali Hilal Al Kuwari, assured that they are ready to explore the Nigerian market.
Kuwari added that they will start with the trade of Nigerian agricultural commodities, to test the viability of such partnership, following which concrete investment may develop.
