The minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi says the federal government has started the process of test booking on the Nigerian Railway Corporation e-ticketing platform for rail passengers.
Amaechi who made this known added that the process has begun on the Abuja-Kaduna corridor.

He urged passengers to log on to nrc.tps.ng for booking trials, as the government intends to fully launch the e-ticketing platform in due course.
The e-ticketing system which allows intending passengers pay online for their travels, has been on demand by many over the years. It is believed the process will eradicate or curb to the barest minimum, sharp practices associated with obtaining travel tickets at the train stations.
