As part of measures to encourage more enrolment in its public schools, the Benue State Government says it has partnered with the Federal Government to construct over 100 classroom in public schools across the State.

Executive Chairman of Benue State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Grace Adagba disclosed this during an expanded enrolment drive in Benue South Senatorial District also known as Zone C.

The intervention begins with a visit to the seat of the paramount ruler of the Idoma and Igede people, the Ochi Idoma Agabaido Elaigwu Odogbo in Otukpo town.

The education stakeholders then proceeded to an expanded stakeholders meeting comprising traditional and religious leaders, guardians as well as education managers.

Adagba persuades guardians on the need to embrace this free enrolment opportunity to better the lot of their wards.

The enrollment awareness campaign also featured lectures on access to free education and compulsory operations of nursery classes in public schools.

With this drive to expand access to basic education in Benue South Senatorial District concluded comes great expectation that the enrolment figures will rise as schools resume in few weeks for the 2024-2025 academic session.
