The Federal Government says the killing of security agents in the country under any guise is an attack on the state which will not be tolerated.

The two officers according to the Minister were murdered in the most gruesome manner with their decapitated bodies videotaped and circulated widely.

The Federal Government has identified the killers as Gentle, and one Chinoso Okafor a commander of the ESN in charge of Imo and Anambra states with an assurance that all the perpetrators will be swiftly brought to justice.

Lai Mohammed questioned the sincerity of those calling for a political dialogue between the Federal Government and IPOB and wondered why they have not condemned the murder of serving police officers.

ASP Francis Idoko, Inspector Emmanuel Akubo and Inspector Rufai Adamu, all serving officers of the Nigerian Police were abducted on November 27, 2021.

Inspectors Akubo and Adamu were later killed by suspected members of the Eastern Security Network.
