The Federal Government has assured that it will work with the Zamfara State government to provide relief materials, to cushion the hardship suffered by the victims of a fire disaster in the state.

As a first step, it has sent a high powered delegation to the State, led by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to sympathise with the state over the recent inferno, that razed the Tudun Wada Market in the Gusau metropolis where goods worth millions of Naira and 63 shops were destroyed.

Among the delegation were the Minister of Police Affairs Muhammad Dingyadi, Aviation, Hadi Sirika, Humanitarian Affairs Sadiya Faruq, Interior, Rauf Aregbesola and the senior special assistant to the President on media and publicity Garba Shehu.

The delegation personally donated N5million to the victims, while a Kebbi State based organisation, also donated N2million.
