The Federal Government has flagged off the distribution of relief materials worth millions of naira to victims of the 2022 flood disaster in Ondo state.
Flagging off the distribution in Akure the state capital on Monday, Minister of State for Transportation, Ademola Adegoroye said the gesture was part of Presidential Palliatives to 2022 flood victims in Ondo State.


Adegoroye, who was represented by the Director, Internal Audit, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Tajudeen Fasasi said the gesture is Aimed at alleviating the sufferings that came with the 2022 flood, in addition to earlier assistance to the affected States.
He assured that the relief materials will be judiciously distributed to those directly affected by the flood.

Director General of NEMA, Ahmed Habib who was represented by Ondo state Vocal head, Kabiru Olanrewaju said the distribution exercise is the first phase, While the implementation of the second phase will commence soon.
The Palliative items will be handed over to National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA by the Ministry of Niger Delta for onward distribution to the beneficiaries as identified in the affected Communities and Local Government.
