Seventy trucks of Federal government fertilizer palliatives sent to farmers in Kwara State have reached the state government for onward distribution to the verified farmers across the 16 local governments of the state.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State governor on Community Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe disclosed this in Ilorin the State capital during the commencement of the distribution to the Directors of Personnel Management from the local governments.

Olohungbebe, said the 42,000 bags of fertilizer palliatives, 50 trucks of NPK and 20 trucks of Urea would be effectively distributed to the farmers through the Fertilizer Distribution Committee headed by Director of Personnel Management (DPMs) of each local government area through community based organizations, traditional rulers and religious bodies.
Some of the Directors of Personnel who were on ground to represent their various local governments for collection maintained that the move will go a long way in boosting agricultural produce at the grassroots
The 42,000 bags of fertilizer palliatives from the federal government are to be distributed to the verified farmers free of charge with the aim of boosting agricultural production.
