The Federal Government has inaugurated a joint planning committee for the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors in shaping the nation’s economic future.

The Minister of state Budget and Economic Planning, Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Odoh while inaugurating the committee, said the summit remains a critical platform for driving inclusive growth and sustainable development in Nigeria.

He noted that the partnership between government and the private sector, led by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, has continued to provide policy direction and actionable solutions to economic challenges.

According to the minister, the 32nd edition of the summit will focus on key reforms aimed at boosting investor confidence, improving productivity, and enhancing economic resilience amid global uncertainties.

He urged members of the committee to ensure robust engagement and deliver practical recommendations that will accelerate national development.

This year’s summit, according to the minister, will be held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, from October 26 to 27, 2026.

The Nigerian Economic Summit is an annual forum that brings together policymakers, business leaders, and development partners to deliberate on strategies for economic growth and national transformation.
