Contractors handling the Bodo/ Bonny road project have been ordered to deliver the project on or before the 15th of December, 2024.
Minister of Works Dave Umahi made this known to newsmen when he visited ongoing federal government projects in Rivers State.
The minister while thanking the contractors for shifting grounds during their negotiation and returning back to site,expressed satisfaction
with their level of mobilisation and promised to process their payment as soon as possible.
Jasper Jumbo a member of the Peace Committee on the Bodo/ Bonny Road Project expressed satisfaction that work has resumed and assured that the project will be completed in record time.
While at the Eleme Axis of the East West Road, the minister frowned at the contracting firm for the slow pace of work and their absence at site
The minister further instructed the Director of Works to issue RCC seven days ultimatum to return to site or terminate their contract and subsequently hand over the remediation work on the road to another firm.
